FUNCTIONS:
CsdSigner is the product used by the applications developed by CSD which include digital use of the signature in business processes. This component guarantees the integrity and genuineness of the different documents associated with the above mentioned processes. The digital signature offers legal validity of the documents giving it the equal validity to that of a manually signed document.

In the cases where a printed copy of the digital signature is required, the incorporation of the digital signature allows the printing of documents when necessary. CSDSigner offers equal legal validity to the document to that of a manually signed or stamped one.

CSDSigner allows for rapid signing of documents in a simple manner assuring integrity and legal validity. In addition, with the time seal, we can verify authentically the date and exact hour in which the document was signed.

CSDSigner is designed to integrate with validation of electronic signatures systems such asACCV and @firma

What is the digital signature?

The digital signature refers to the transmission of telematic messages and the management of electronic documents in cryptographic method that associates the identity of a person or of an IT team/computer with the message or document. Depending on the type of signature, it assures the integrity of the document or message.
The electronic signature, or holographic signature (autographic, manual), can identify the author with the document, indicate conformity (or non-conformity) with the content, confirming that it has been read and, guaranteeing that the contents have not been modified.

Differences between the digital signature and the electronic signature:

The terms digital signature and electronic signature are frequently used as synonyms but this use is technically incorrect.
Whereas the digital signature refers to a series of cryptographic methods, the electronic signature it is a term of a fundamentally legal nature and wider as from a technical point of view as it allows for the use of non-cryptographic methods.
A clear example of the importance of this distinction is its use within the European Commission. With the development of the European Board 1999/93/CE that established a European common structure for the electronic signature, the term digital signature began to be used in the first draft, but it was finally agreed upon to use the term electronic signature instead, to disconnect the legal regulation of this type of signature from the technology used in its implementation.
